MIIA Embraces the Darkness on “Necessary Evil”

On “Necessary Evil”, Norwegian alt-pop artist MIIA embraces a more experimental and dancefloor-focused sound while retaining the emotional honesty that has become her trademark. Drawing inspiration from UK garage, speed garage and bassline music, the single explores themes of painful truth, personal growth and transformation. Accompanied by a striking animated visualiser inspired by Scandinavian folklore, the track offers another compelling glimpse into huldra, MIIA’s highly anticipated debut album.
